CFE cheat, windows won’t place

I’ve been attempting to use the CFE cheat to build a pool on the top floor of a house. It’s going okay, thanks to some help from Princess, but the windows beneath the pool won’t place and I keep getting a ceiling too low error message. What can I do?
Edit: Just realised this happens to doors, too 🙁

Where is the Dead Sim when you need him? Are you wanting windows that will look into the pool? I’m thinking that if you have the triple picture window, you could use it instead of the wall using move_objects on and then you could see into the pool. Just a thought.

Anne, thanks for replying. No, the windows and doors are below the pool area and would be in the bedrooms.

From your pic it looks like you can place the windows, but it isn’t see-through, correct? Try saving the lot, exiting to neighborhood and entering the lot again. This should do the trick 🙂

Thanks Klaartje, I’ll do that and see if it works. 🙂

It appears I spoke too soon – the Sims won’t walk through the doors that were causing the problems, so they can’t go to bed! :cuss:

Aaah, I must have missed the part about wanting doors there too 🙂 I’ve never attempted a pool like that, I just know the trick about going back to hoodview so that it regenerates the wall cut-out. Never tried it with doors, I just use it for non-functional attics/roofs etc. It makes sense that when the ceiling is too low, doors don’t function, but I’m not sure how to fix that. Can you post more pics/share the lot?
