May – June Challenge, 2013

This is the challenge for May- The theme is ‘Retro‘. Here are the criteria:

• You can create any item from 1970 or before – it could be a house, object, furnishings, decor etc.
• Any expansion and/or stuff packs and custom content can be used.
• Sims 2 or Sims 3 can be used.
• You don’t need to provide the item as a download (in our downloads section only), but you can if you wish, as long as you follow our uploading rules and provide links to the custom content you use. Links to cc are not required for the actual challenge.
• Required images are: birds-eye views of all levels (if you create a lot), front and back views and every room inside. If you can’t manage to take a screenshot of the bathroom you can leave it out, but we have some screenshot tutorials that may help:

Note that this is a challenge, it isn’t a competition with prizes, and we won’t be picking an overall winner. Simply reply to this post with your pictures.

Well I haven’t had time to build a lot this month, so I thought I’d do some retro re-colours within this theme instead. It’s a set of 3 retro bedding and curtains using Maxis items. Will try to get around to uploading them later. 🙂 There are some fab mid-century items at BPS if anyone else is interested in this challenge. 😀

Love them, especially the first and third, but they are ALL fabulous, Lady A!

PS WHICH Maxis curtain mesh is that if I may ask? The drapes turned out so beautifully.

Want to do this but no time, can you extend it please? Milton Keynes started in the 1970s want to build one of our first houses 🙂

Thank you.

I wanted to let you know I have recolored a little something for this challenge.
However, upon testing it in game last night, some things need tweaking.
Once I have fixed them, I will post my entry here.
I would also like to offer the little set as a gift to Sim Fans UK, as well.
