Trying to build this lot was like the blind man trying to figure out what an elephant was! The available photos are little snippets of the whole. When I copy a house, I like to have several good exterior shots from different angles, especially the front of the house. I could only find two exterior shots of the Monkee’s Pad. The available photos do give the ambiance of the house however, cluttered, a bit chaotic, a man’s house where function is more important than beauty. There was supposed to be a second bedroom, but I couldn’t fit it in without making the house too wide and out of proportion. Those cooky Monkees will have to share their loft bedroom. I also had to add a bathroom somewhere so I couldn’t make the floor plan really fit the available photo. I did try to leave space for musical instruments although the drum kit won’t fit. Well after all these attempts to excuse myself, here is my version, at least playable by Sims!
